Minecraft Seed Map

What is this?

Welcome to mcseedmap.net, an easy way to view, discover and share Minecraft world seeds!

It mimics the biome and structure generation of Minecraft, and creates a browseable biome map from the world seed you specify, without actually creating the map in Minecraft.

You can use it to explore Minecraft seeds, find biomes, and share seed maps.

Pro tip! If you are more serious about seeds, need high performance and advanced seed finding features, the open source Cubiomes Viewer desktop app is for you.

Please note that mcseedmap.net is not an official Minecraft product, and not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

How to use?

How to use mcseedmap.net:

1. Select your Minecraft version in the top bar.
2. Enter a world seed number or text, or press the Random button for a new random seed.
3. The seed map starts loading automatically.

Above the map are buttons to copy the seed, download the map image, and create a link for sharing.

FAQ

Are Java and Bedrock edition seeds the same?

Since Minecraft version 1.18, seeds generate the same terrain and biomes on Java and Bedrock editions, but trees, grass and structures will be different.

Why is the map not loading?

The site uses modern technologies such as WebAssembly, which are not supported by older browsers. Check that you have updated your browser to the latest version. It may help if you completely reload the page by pressing the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Reload button on the browser toolbar.

mcseedmap.net is created by Balázs Farkas ("megasys").

Biomes and structures are calculated from seed using the cubiomes library created by Cubitect and other contributors.

Map colors are from cubiomes, inspired by Amidst.

The browseable map is rendered using OpenLayers.
